The Data List

You can assemble all files that you want to work with in the data list. You can carry out all basic tasks here. For playing of the audio files, AudioFileHandler uses your installed player.

Reference Lists

Example 1
If you stream an internet radio station three days in a row, you end up with 1000 files, 600 of which were repeated.In the reference lists you can save the original filenames of the streamed files and the files you listened to, thus discarding titles you already have.

Example 2
You can save files in the reference list if you are looking for comparable files with higher quality. The files from the reference list and the data list can be listened to consequently. If the file saved in the reference list is of better quality than the file existing in the data list, you can exchange the two files whilst keeping the tags of the original file.

Administering Tags

With a double click you shift the files marked in the data list into the list for changing their tags. You can use the availiable functions with multiple marked files.

  • Creating the tags Artist and Title from the file name and optionally taking over the existing enumeration as a track.

Administering Texts

Here you can administer texts that are saved within the audio files (internal texts) or that are at hand as external files (external texts).

  • Display of two texts simultaneously (here: lyrics Latin/English)

  • Creating links between an audio file and any other text file.

  • Creating links within a text file to any other file.

  • Renaming text files directly in the list.

Administering Play Lists

The program administers play lists in the M3U and PLS formats.

Features:

  • Combining of play lists from different folders from the list.

  • Combining titles from various play lists in one play list.

  • Saving play lists with absolute or relative paths.

  • Shuffling of the titles.

  • Shifting titles (single or en bloc).

  • Automatically remove titles with invalid paths.

  • Copying files that are listed in the play list.

  • Export the data to a .xls, .txt, .csv or .xml, .htm -file

Administering Pictures

With AudioFileHandler you can administer pictures that are saved within a title (internal pictures) or that are saved on your hard drive (external pictures). You can link pictures, texts, and audio files.

The program will administer the following formats: jpg (jpeg), gif, bmp, tif, png, ico

  • Combining pictures from various folders.

  • Previewing the pictures. You will be able to change the size of the pictures while prebiewing them.

  • Linking a picture with a text file and or an audio file.

  • Automatic display of a text that is linked to a picture when previewing the picture.

  • Creating links within the text and opening existing links.

  • Saving of pictures within audio files (ID3v2).

  • Saving a displayed picture as a .bmp-file.

  • Zoom the displayed picture.

  • Showing external pictures as a slide show.

  • Reworking pictures with the appropriate program that is linked to the file type of the picture.

Synchronized Text (mp3)

Show the songtext synchronized to the sung text.
Create, change and administer syncronized texts (*.lrc).

Features:

  • Create text writing directly to the list or take over from an existing .txt/.lrc-file.

  • Synchronize the text clicking on the row of the list if the text is sung.

  • Correct the time stamps very easily.

  • Save the synchronized text within an audiofile.

  • Change the design of the shown synchronized text.

Changin Language and Labels

Features:

  • Labels within the program can be changed at any time. Changes will apply immediately.

  • The language can be changed at all times (at the moment only English and German are availiable)

  • Texts for other languages can be created at all times.

  • You will be able to import/export other languages as soon as they are made availiable.

Assigning Signs to Files


 

Features:

  • Easy marking of listed files with individual easy to understand signs.

  • Deleting, Copying, ... only with the files that are marked with the appropriate sign, in order to work with long lists, part for part.

  • Any chosen operation will only be performed on the files marked with the corresponding sign. If none of the marked files has a sign, all highlighted files will be influenced by the chosen operation.
